What is Ikigai?

This word originates from the Japanese language with a literal meaning of “life to be worthwhile” As per the authors, it is what helps people live one hundred years of life. To precise, they wrote Ikigai as ‘the happiness of always being busy’.

Everybody out there has an Ikigai. We just have to find the right one for us. Ikigai is a combination of 4 elements:

  1. What you love to do
  2. Things in which you are good at
  3. Those skills that can help to earn money
  4. Current needs of the world

How to find our Ikigai?. first of all you have to write down all the things you love to do. So, make a list of things you love doing and it can be anything like writing, swimming and so on. Now, you have made a list, check-in which things you are good at? Did not find any? no problem. You can learn things to be perfect in them at any stage of life like if you love to be an engineer and you spend 4 years of life getting a degree.

In the next phase, you have to check things against which you can earn money. Now, you have passed three stages, In the last stage, you have to find an existing gap in the world, which needs to be filled in your particular selected field. Congratulations!!! you found your Ikigai. Now determination is the key to achieve your dreams.
